The original artwork of this scarf takes inspiration from the Archaic female statue known as Phrasikleia Kore, dating back to the 6th century BC. The statue was made out of flawless Parian marble and served as a funerary statue or a votive offering. It symbolized the grave of an unmarried girl named Phrasikleia, the member of an aristocratic family who had passed away as a maiden.
